How Search Engine Optimisation is promoting Whitby

A couple of years ago I bought a Whitby holiday cottage and although unfortunately it will depreciated like the vast majority of properties in the UK at the moment, at least there was one saving grace it has been almost totally booked out with holidaymakers! Although I am throwing modesty aside this has been largely due to the fact that not been extremely rich I worked very hard to obtain the bookings. In the beginning I was using Google ad words which is a very useful and successful tool but also quite expensive if you use it continually. So this led me to read a number of books on the subject of search engine optimisation SEO for short. This sounds terribly boring and will be to some people but for once I become fascinated in the subject, and what it basically does is get you on the top of the search engines so that your website is seen by many people.

Anywhere this has led me on to starting a Whitby Holiday Cottage Letting Agency, because I was amazed by the number of cottages which I suffering low bookings due to the credit crunch. As I'm writing this I'm sat in my car in the Wi-Fi area at a caravan park near to Whitby Abby because my holiday cottage is completely booked out and I cannot stay there ! a victim of my own success !!!

So because I booked a static caravan I suddenly became aware that the majority owners only use them occasionally and the ones that wish to book them now find it difficult connecting with the holidaymakers. Hey presto a new Whitby child is entering the arena as www.whitby-caravan.co.uk.

This will run alongside my Whitby holiday cottage letting agency so that if people wish to book a cottage or a static caravan in Whitby they will find a choice selection of only 10 of each so I can control the quality of the service. So if anybody out there wishes to list their property are static caravan on these new websites which I hope will be receiving plenty of traffic increasingly just contact me and hopefully we can provide a good service together.

I'm aiming to rip the whole process extremely easy with no upfront fees or tie in contracts. The only thing I'm interested in is promoting Whitby and its holiday accommodation, making a living for my efforts and making sure that the holiday accommodation of my fledgling company promotes is of a good standard and value.
